FAQ

Does Repelit protect a system in which a user has full administrator privileges like a laptop user?

Yes.  Repelit excels at offering top level protection even under full local administrator privileges.  Repelit continues to fully protect your systems regardless of the local user account level used.  This makes Repelit especially important for company laptops, one of the weakest security links in any organization.

Laptop use in most companies are growing at an ever increasing rate.  Laptop users are also among the most difficult for helpdesks to service.  They are prone to the worst security threats and user configuration issues.  Laptops are roaming company computers, occasionally touching the network, more often accessing the internet through unsecured public wireless and high-speed access points.  Many times connecting to an infected home network then using a VPN to connect to work.  The laptop user must be able to install printers and applications on an as-need basis to function properly.  The applications they install are rarely verified and internet downloads can end up requiring a laptop to be sent back for reimaging.

Repelit offers better protection (not affected by buffer overruns and out of date security patches) than using a limited user account without the frustration of locking the end user out of installing or running their programs, updating their virus definitions, adding new printers, hardware or any of the many other restrictions associated with using limited user accounts.
