FAQ

Now I’m ready to do an install.  Where do I go to change to an install mode?

The Repelit program icon is the blue “IT” icon located in the system tray.  Double click on the blue IT icon to launch the Repelit Install Mode graphic user interface, or “GUI.”

Float your cursor over the buttons of the Repelit program and the white screen will change to inform you which button is appropriate for which install.

Click the button and Repelit will ask for an installation name.  This is required to start the install.  Name the install so that it makes sense to you, and click “OK.”

Repelit will confirm the mode change; click “OK” to begin your install.

After your click “OK,” a transparent mode box now appears at the bottom right of your computer screen.  It will list the mode you are in with directions on how to do an install properly using Repelit.  If you wish, you may hide the main program to the system tray before starting your install; however the transparent mode box will remain on top and visible during the entire install. This way, you will not accidentally forget to finish an install.

If you need to move the install mode box, in order to click on a prompt, perhaps, click on the arrow in the install mode box to jump to the opposite side of the computer screen.  Now you will be able to click on the button previously covered by the install mode box.

Continue with the install.  Make sure to follow the install mode box instructions to the letter to make sure your install works correctly.

After you restart your computer and log on you will notice that the install mode message has returned to the bottom of the screen.  It will remain visible as a reminder to finish the install as the install mode directions require.

When the install is completed click on “Done.”

A message will confirm the mode changed to Repelit mode.

Now you are fully protected.

In a corporate environment, a distributed install is handled like a trusted install.  Enterprises will be able to auto deliver installs in “Off Mode.”  This will ensure any type of installation will work exactly as designed.
