There is no critical need to restart.  If it continues all day it just means there is a stubborn piece of badware left in memory.  It is not aggressive enough to launch the heavy attack window but is trying casually to sneak itself onto your system.  Restart your computer at the end of the day and both the blinking and “Threat Counter” will stop when you log back on.

The “Threat Counter” window and the blinking are indictors of blocked attack points.  They will stop when entries are no longer trying to get through the attack points.  If the blinking and “Threat Counter” disappear during the day there is no need to restart your computer.
