FAQ
A.) Creating a safelist on a new computer.

STEP 1:
On a new computer install Scrubit and click the "Setup" button. Click on the
"Add" button to go to the "Add to Safelist" page. Select a single item from the list box then click the "Safe"
button. Repeat this process until all of the items listed are in the safelist.
You can double check your safelist by clicking "Back" and returning to the
setup page. On the setup page click "Review" this will take you to the page
listing all the items in your safelist.

STEP 2:
Some items will not show in the list (mostly hardware items and services). To
get these items to show run Scrubit by clicking "Start." At the end of the
badware discovery process there will be some items that were never visible in
the process list. Since you have newly imaged this system you know you have a
clean system, select each item and click on the "Omit" button. Now the items
will appear when you go to safelist them. Repeat "Step 1" and add the newly
added items to the safelist.
NOTE:
Scrubit by design does not allow you to safelist (accidentally) an item
without the ability to verify the item. To verify the item requires internet
access. Internet access is shut off during Scrubit’s discovery process to
prevent badware from trying to dump onto your system in the background. This
means to safelist the items that escape the process list requires this 2-step
method to verify and safelist them (mostly hardware items and services).
CAUTION: Try to eliminate any exposure to the internet
before clicking items as safe when setting up the Safelist on a new computer.
