Unfortunately, no program can absolutely guarantee your system is completely clean after a bad infection. It is better to prevent problems that to react to problems (Repelit™ from itSoftware™ prevents your system from being compromised)

The best way to guess you are clean is through observation. For example your computer is no longer acting unusual, or running slowly, your home page is not redirected and the adware pop ups are gone.

When a system is badly infected we recommend a layered approach to cleaning.

Start by running Scrubit to remove the hidden, unknown, stubborn and mutating (polymorphic) forms of badware. These are the worst offenders and the most difficult for other products to discover and remove.

Finish by running a spyware scanner and virus scanner to fully remove any remaining non-running components.

By taking this layered approach you ensure yourself the best chance of getting your system clean.
