Scrubit still hangs during testing?
Shut off any
security applications during testing (even if safelisted). Restart them after
testing (most security applications will restart on their own after a computer
restart). Some security applications may use protection schemes tickled by
Scrubit’s filters that fight with Scrubit during the testing phase. Since the
security application is safelisted, Scrubit will allow them to continue
working. During one of the filtering stages (identified by a number on the
process page) a protection mechanism can be triggered by the security
application which by design fights with Scrubit. Since it is safelisted,
Scrubit will not fight it or send it to cleanup. This can hang up Scrubit's
testing.
